Sister Teresa
heard a voice while on a train.
“Serve the poor in slums.”

There is a crossroad
when we heed our call—or not.
Teresa answered.

Spirit speaks inward.
We each have our vocation
to follow bravely.

Trust what opens out.
Work we do with not our strength.
Grace precedes each step.

Spirit replicates
individually as each
divine expression.

When we once find the boat with our name on it,
we have first found our inner oars.
