Storm on horizon
blows fierce winds that heighten fears.
It soon passes by.

The more effort used
to change, confront, battle, judge,
the more “it” strengthens.

Nothing has power
when we see its nothingness
dissolve in our view.

Clouds, waves, tears within
once given reality.
Neighbors watch the sun.

Serenity is
the inner magnet that draws
to one’s self its own.

In the peace of meditation all waves of sensations
and thoughts are absent from the mind. In the
deeper state of calmness, one perceives in that
stillness the moonéd reflection of God’s presence.
Paramahansa Yogananda
