“THE THUNDER OF SILENCE”—A FREE E-BOOK

title-thunder-1

Each one of us has to “die” within our own consciousness
to the old person, so that the new person can be born.
No person ever dies after spiritual illumination is
attained. We can, at this moment, commune with any
of the great, illumined Souls. There is within each
of us the transcendental Consciousness, which is the
Christ, the Spirit of God in us. God IS, and God is
available to all who can acknowledge that God IS. So
instead of praying up to God, let us be so silent within
ourselves that we can hear the still, small Voice.
An excerpt from The Thunder of Silence by Joel Goldsmith

As noted on the back cover of many of Joel S. Goldsmith’s books, this short biographical sketch appears about this internationally recognized, modern-day mystic:

Joel S. Goldsmith (March 10, 1892 — June 17, 1964), a
monumental teacher of practical mysticism, devoted
most of his life to the discovery and teaching of
spiritual principles, that he defined and called “The
Infinite Way.” In 1947, after the publication of his
seminal book, The Infinite Way, Joel traveled throughout
the world for many years as a spiritual teacher and
healer. Although his message was neither organized
nor advertised, students of The Infinite Way have
multiplied as individuals from around the world share
his spiritual wisdom. He is the author of more than
thirty books, most of which continue to remain in
lively demand and which are highly praised by the
current spiritual luminaries.

Joel Goldsmith has opened a door in my soul. He has
helped me immeasurably in my search for peace.
Marianne Williamson, author of The Gift of Change

A new generation of mature seekers, receptive to spiritual
truth, is now discovering Joel Goldsmith’s teachings,
which have lost none of their relevance, aliveness and
power. I foresee that those teachings will reach and
impact even more people in the 21st century than during
his lifetime. Joel Goldsmith’s inspired and profoundly
inspiring books represent a vital contribution to the
spiritual awakening of humanity.
Eckhart Tolle, author of The Power of Now

I have an 8×10 picture of Joel Goldsmith on my writing
table. I feel his presence with me every day – I
consider Joel to be one of my most important teachers.
His wisdom guides me in all of my work.
Dr. Wayne Dyer, Ph.D., author of The Power of Intention

Joel Goldsmith is the ultimate teacher of spiritual wisdom.
Gerald G. Jampolsky, M.D., author of Love is Letting Go of Fear

During December, I compiled a summarized or synoptic version of the book, The Thunder of Silence, that has been posted on the Infinite Way Hub website and is available to download as a free e-book. This book, originally published in 1961, was one of four or five books that Joel noted were among his most important spiritual contributions.

Here is the introduction I wrote for the book synopsis:

The following is an abbreviated format, chapter by chapter, of the principles and key spiritual concepts that Joel outlines in this book. Consider them the highlighted pearls of truth. Some of the sentences and short paragraphs are the exact wording, as they appear in the text. Others have been slightly shortened, condensed, or rearranged. With a specific topic, like healing, the segments of it mentioned throughout a chapter have been brought together. Some of the statements that contain the personal pronoun, “I,” were changed from pronouns like “we” or “you” so that these sentences can be read and used like a quieting thought, much like a peaceful prayer of affirmation and truth—thoughts to use while the mind slows its pace, deepens, and enters the receptive state of Silence at the center of being. In such profound stillness, the rumblings of thunder are heard.
