THE TREASURE IS IN MY OWN GARDEN

Cows graze by a fence.
The other side seems greener.
How can I get it?

Holy Grail searchers
spend their life seeking outside
for the inner gold.

Wanting the wanting
casts you outward in empty,
unfulfilled questing.

Slow the hurried pace.
Slow the world’s trance of more.
Slow the busy mind.

Feel the ground beneath.
All treasure hides within you.
You alone must dig.

Whatever qualities—human fear and anger or spiritual
love and peace—are in my own consciousness.
The state of my consciousness—my internality—
externalizes as my world. I am not in this
world. The world is first in me and then
expresses outward. Likewise, the state of
your consciousness externalizes as your world.
You are not in this world. The world is first
in you and then expresses outward.

Withinness is the key.
